Clinical Neuropsychologist
Jillian is a Senior Clinical Neuropsychologist with extensive experience in adult neurological and neuropsychiatric disorders, and a special interest in early onset and atypical dementias. She completed her Master of Clinical Neuropsychology at Macquarie University in 2012 and received the Vice Chancellors Award for academic excellence.
Jillian sees patients for a broad range of neuropsychological needs from baseline clinical assessments to medico-legal assessments and reports. She provides assessments for diagnosis and management, including strategies for return to work or study. She undertakes medicolegal work and performs decision making capacity assessments. She has worked in neurology, aged care, rehabilitation, and psychiatry public health settings for 10 years, and has been in private practice since 2017. She has a strong knowledge of neurodegenerative diseases and how they affect cognition and behaviour. She has a special interest in the differential diagnosis of dementia, with a focus on accurate, early diagnosis to help her patients and their families access appropriate interventions and supports as soon as possible.
Jillian understands patients often come to their appointments worried about their symptoms; her warm and empathic approach to assessments helps put her patients at ease. She offers her clients thorough assessments conducted in a manner that builds trust, rapport, and optimal testing conditions to ensure the best outcome for her patients. She ensures that patients and referrers are provided with verbal feedback within 24 hours after the completion of an assessment, and a written report is provided to her referrers within 1-2 weeks.
