Dr Ahmad Alrubaie is a senior consultant gastroenterologist and therapeutic endoscopist.
He completed his advanced training in gastroenterology at Westmead, Liverpool and Bankstown Hospitals and had postgraduate endoscopic training (particularly in double balloon enteroscopy) at the Yamamoto Endoscopy Unit, Jichi University in Tokyo-Japan.
Dr Alrubaie is interested in general & therapeutic endoscopy, small bowel endoscopy (including Capsule Endoscopy, Double Balloon Enteroscopy, Spiral Enteroscopy) and has extensive experience in small bowel diseases, inflammatory bowel diseases, anaemias and bleeding, motility and functional disorders, GORD and liver disorders.
He works as a Visiting Medical Officer at Southern Highlands Private Hospital, Bankstown Hospital, Liverpool Day Surgery, Macquarie University Hospital & The George Centre, providing a wide range of diagnostic and interventional services for patients in the Southern Highlands, Camden, Macarthur, Liverpool and surrounds.
Dr Alrubaie is a senior lecturer and Associate Professor at the University of New South Wales, Educational Supervisor and Examiner at Royal Australasian College of Physicians and extensively involved in teaching of undergraduates, postgraduates and general practitioners.
